I've made my challenge picks...
For the Chunkster Challege, I've settled on a few books I've been meaning to read and just never have and one book I've already read but have needed an excuse to reread because it is just that good :)
1. The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova - This has been in the TBR pile for ages, I don't know why I always pass over it.
2. I am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolfe - Got this one as a Christmas gift 2 years ago, about time I read it.
3. The Way the Crow Flies by Ann-Marie MacDonald - Simply because I've heard such good things about it.
4. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling - I only got through book 4, so this is a must.
5. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - Have already read this one, more than once I might add, but am looking forward to rereading again.
For the Winter Classics Challenge, this is what I've chosen.
1. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - I'm shocked myself that I have still never read this!
2. The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins - This has been in my TBR pile for quite some time.
3. The Turn of the Screw by Henry James - I might be cheating a little with this one. I'm already reading it in daily installments from Daily Lit.
4. The Voyage Out by Virginia Woolf - Never read anything by her but always meant to.
5. Bram Stoker's Dracula - This one was on my list of R.I.P. Challenge books that I never got to, so I am giving it another try.
Now I just need to figure out what I'll post about for the G.I.F.T. Challenge. Think there may be a few more challenges floating around out there, but maybe I should just start with these and see how far I get :)

Good choices. I am especially excited that you're going to try to get through Dracula! Love it!
Dracula is a fabulous read - hope you enjoy it.
Great choices! I saw Tom Wolfe on Bill Mahr's show a few months ago and they were talking about this book (Charlotte Simmons) - it sounded very interesting so I can't wait to see what your thoughts are.
Ahhhh, "Little Women", I would love to reread that again some day!
Good luck with the challenges and happy reading!
I've still to read The Historian as well!
If you do get a chance to re-read Little Women you might consider reading March by Geraldine Brooks afterward. Even though you don't have to read LW beforehand it makes reading March so much more interesting and you see how subtle and clever Brooks is in her use of his back story.
Good luck on the rest of your challenge. I still have to read some Wilkie Collins too :-)
carl v. and anonymous - Glad to hear you liked Dracula so much, I am sure I will also!
lotus reads - Little Women is one of my favorites :) And I am Charlotte Simmons has been sitting on my book shelf waiting very patiently for me, I am glad to finally be getting to it!
nutmeg - Thanks for the recommendation on March. I actually have that set aside to read after I finish Little Women again. And incidentally, I was in Concord, Mass this weekend admiring all of the holiday decorations right in LMA's hometown :)
Your lists are great! I look forward to your reviews. You already know that I have Little Women on my list too so we can compare notes. I've read a few of your choices but you gave me more books to add to my TBR Mountain! Yea! More books!

I love your classics challenge list!
I had The Moonstone on my RIP challenge list (but never got to it)...and I love P&P. And of course, Carl's been harassing me 'cause I haven't read Dracula.
Maybe I should just copy your list??
Great choices! I am tempted to add The Way the Crow Flies to my chunkster list as well.
I want to read the Wolfe, too. I started the Henry Potter *last year* at this time and sort of left it hanging. I guess I am going to have to start from the beginning again. I am reading The Voyage Out now and enjoying it. I plan on reading more Woolf for sure!
Hello, Kirsten. So happy that you'll be joining in these fun challenges. I see you have both Dracula and The Historian on your lists. I read those for the R.I.P. Challenge. They are great read back to back. Look forward to reading your thoughts concerning them.
I wonder what you'll think of 'The Historian' - that seems to be a love it or hate it book.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
